3.5 years; a shorter duration is possible if certain conditions are met

Graduate of a German Hauptschule (lowest level of German secondary schools) with good grades, graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools), graduate of a Werkrealschule (Realschule with focus on vocational skills)

Focus of your work:

Tuning and programming machines and monitoring the quality of ongoing work processes

2 years


Apprenticeship requirements: 

Graduate of a German Hauptschule (lowest level of German secondary schools) with good grades, graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools), graduate of a Werkrealschule (Realschule with focus on vocational skills)

Industrial mechanic

Focus of your work::

Construction of devices, individual parts, repairs of machines and maintenance


Apprenticeship duration::

3.5 years; a shorter duration is possible if certain conditions are met


Apprenticeship requirements::

Graduate of a German Hauptschule (lowest level of German secondary schools) with good grades, graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools), graduate of a Werkrealschule (Realschule with focus on vocational skills)

Mechatronic

Focus of your work::

Installation of electric assemblies, setting up and testing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controllers


Apprenticeship duration::

3.5 years


Apprenticeship requirements::

Graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools), graduate of a Werkrealschule (Realschule with focus on vocational skills)

Technical product designer

Focus of your work:

Creating plans and drawings for parts and assemblies using state-of-the-art software


Apprenticeship duration:

3.5 years; a shorter duration is possible if certain conditions are met


Apprenticeship requirements::

Graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools) or of a German Gymnasium (highest level of German secondary schools)

Machine and plant operator

Focus of your work:

Preparing work processes, checking machine functions, commissioning machines, replacing wear parts


Apprenticeship duration:

2 years 


Apprenticeship requirements:

Graduate of a German Hauptschule (lowest level of German secondary schools) with good grades, graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools), graduate of a Werkrealschule (Realschule with focus on vocational skills)

Industrial clerk

Focus of your work:

Procurement, sales and order processing, calculation, production management, accounting, HR 


Apprenticeship duration:

3 years 


Apprenticeship requirements:

Graduate of a German Realschule (second-lowest level of German secondary schools) or of a German Gymnasium (highest level of German secondary schools)
